A longing for nostalgia and simplicity spurs my desire for a basic, yet modern, blog. Coupled with the adventures and findings from a born-again-outdoorsman, spawns The Epicurean Outdoorsman. Kind of like The Last of the Moheecans, minus the badassery, I consider myself The Last of the Free Roamers. Pedo Guys, carbohydrates, and adderall make it so kids nowadays can't go outside without a hoaming beacon fed directly to their parents’ smartphones. Growing up with the ability to leave the house at sunrise and not return until sunset without a word from my parents was a blessing. I can see the difference compared to friends that didn't have that privledge. They tend to live with less curiosity, more concerned about comfort and safety than an experience, and generally a more ‘protected’ lifestyle. Nonetheless, there's definitely a movement towards experiences over materialism.
Probably just going to get hacked one day.
